The Luangwa Valley, is without doubt one of Africa’s most prized wildlife regions. Located in the eastern part of the country almost the entire length of the +- 350km of the Luangwa river is protected wildlife habitat.
The Luangwa river is the life blood of the region as it is otherwise a dry and harsh environment. Seasonally the valley can change drastically from thick and wet in the early season to bone dry and hot in the late season.

Nyaminga GMA holds a wide range variety of habitat including large mopane woodlands, dense riverine thicket and rolling hills make for ideal big game country.
Sections of the GMA, have some scattered permanent inhabitants, but there are large swaths of pristine wildlife habitat in between where the majority of your time will be spent.
